Welcome to At Home with the Seasons

If you love seasonal living, beautiful children’s books, and simple, meaningful family moments, you’re in the right place. I’m Charlotte, a Devon-based writer, mother, and creator passionate about slow living, outdoor adventures, and celebrator of small things.

“ Seven years ago, a small glimmer of magic occurred in the simplest of motherhood moments. A moment to slow down, a nod to the season that’s been, the season to come, accepting and bowing to Mother Nature. One point in time had ended and another was to begin. A moment I will hold in my heart for a long time.” Extract from my first Substack post ‘Come in and stay a while’.

This moment marked the start of a new way of thinking for me that has shaped and rooted the way I grow as an individual and how we parent our children and grow as a family. Living life seasonally really has shaped us. It now feels right for me to share how we approach seasonal living through my Substack newsletters,

At Home with the Seasons

A seasonal newsletter of stories, tips, ideas and resources that will fit around a home (no matter how busy) that craves a slower and simpler life.

Hello and welcome to At Home with the Seasons, I’m Charlotte, a mother to 4 children, a writer and a family lifestyle blogger.

It now feels right for me to share how we approach seasonal living through Substack newsletters.

Some little details about me

When I’m not writing, I enjoy planning micro-adventures on a budget.  I also prefer cooking from scratch when time allows, preparing and using hacks in my day to fit it all in.

My favourite part of the day? Curling up with a good book to read to our youngest, often a Shirley Hughes classic, or winding down with my husband and a Netflix drama.

I’m a coffee snob with a love for Emma Bridgewater mugs (yes, mug collecting is a real obsession of mine). I’ve got a stack of Almanacs and garden books waiting to be read. While I thrive in the chaos of family life, I also cherish the hush when I’m home alone.

September is my favourite month—when the seasons shift, the air turns crisp, and everything feels cosy. What’s your favourite month? I’d love to hear from you ~ email me at teamsteinmummy@gmail.com
